Winter and Spring 2021: The Delta Education Vineyard will be seeking volunteers to help with pruning and vineyard maintenance in late January and through the month of March.

* Due to liability issues related to COVID-19 and other considerations, no one (adults or, eventually, students) will be allowed to work in the vineyard without first signing waivers that are required by the Old Sugar Mill and by DEV. This protects the volunteers and DEV, making sure all the legalities of volunteering in our vineyard are clear. We thank you in advance for understanding the necessity of these documents.
Adopt-A-Vine
One of the programs we are most excited to see grow is our “Adopt-A-Vine” program. For $100 (or more, don’t let us stop you) you can adopt your own vine within the vineyard. Students are working to create signage to identify each row of grapes, and each plant will have a number and a tag that tells who “owns” that particular vine. While it is beyond our ability to send you updates on each vine directly, we will have a map at the vineyard so you can come and “check in” anytime you’d like! But please remember, the grapes produced belong to Delta Education Vineyard and will become part of the harvest that will sustain the vineyard for years to come.
When you adopt your vine, we’ll send a certificate along with a photo of your vine and a map so you can visit. Adopt-A-Vine makes a great birthday, anniversary, or holiday gift!
